I think I will use 'obfuscate' as my personal word for the day- all day. Perhaps- all week. In fact, i may start selling a whole line of office 'inspirational' posters that say things like, 'obfuscate'. At least I would get a good chuckle and positive feeling every time I looked at it. It's good to know others are working their way through the bologna language of the government with patience and an immense amount of humor. Thank you for a good laugh on a Monday morning.

I just discovered your columns. Thanks for making me laugh out loud before starting yet another weekend trying to make a deadline. As a grant-writer for (too) many years, I completely identified with your comments. Thanks! aobc

I always enjoy reading your column. It is both educational and entertaining. I have been a self-employed grant writer consultant for more than 15 years. Language in government RFPs appears to getting worse/more complicated than better. It is the nature of the beast.
